Important Books and Articles
Many Americans are puzzled by unprecedented events, both domestically and
internationally, since 9/11: torture, widespread surveillance, a government
that seems out of control with signing statements, disregard of the law and
Constitution, war, a deteriorating economy, etc. Coming to grips with what
is going on is critical if Americans are going to be effective and have a
positive future. This is a real challenge, especially because our mainstream
media is part of the problem, rather than a solution. It is difficult
because, even though we believe we live in a free society, much of the
necessary information has been suppressed, or not made widely available, not
commonly covered in history courses, etc. You doubt me? Mine is just a
"conspiracy theory"? Read below and find out for yourself. Begin at the top
of the list, if you wish, with Jules Archer's history of a little-known
effort by Morgan and DuPont to recruit an army to take control of FDR's
White House. Next, you might take a look at Brzezinski's testimony before
the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee about the prospect that the Bush
administration might use a "mythical" account of another terrorist attack
within the US "blamed on Iran" to launch a "'defensive'" (quotes in
original) war. For a surprise, you might read Director of the CIA Casey's
affidavit (witnessed by Richard Nixon) about the CIA's Cocaine importing
business conducted so as to raise funds that could be used without Congressional
oversight. Archer, Brzezinski, Casey -- continue down the list if you wish.
Doubtless, as you come across the alternate reality documented here, you'll
have many questions: Who is behind what is going on? What are their
objectives? How do they get away with it? How come we don't know about it
and our elected representatives either not know or care? What will they do
next? I've selected the materials below to help answer these questions and
more.
